Surviving the Financial Crises - A Handbook for the Unemployed Person Looking for Income

SURVIVING THE FINANCIAL CRISES - A HANDBOOK FOR THE UNEMPLOYED PERSON LOOKING FOR INCOME

1.0 INTRODUCTION:
If you are reading this article, then the odds are that you are an Unemployed Person looking for income, and this is probably not the best time of your life. It is my hope that this article will be a source of encouragement for you and (perhaps) give you some more ideas on some action that you can take to work yourself out of this situation.

In this article, I will present some information to the Unemployed Person looking for Income about an alternative (yet legal) way of earning income. In particular, my intent (in writing this article) is to inform this type of person of the income opportunities and the many advantages that are available through Affiliate Marketing programs. Finally, I will discuss some Affiliate Marketing opportunities that are available through a company called Wealthy Affiliate. Click here to learn more about Wealthy Affiliate.

2.0 SOME BACKGROUND:

In most cases, the unemployed person looking for income will investigate the following options to replace their lost income.

1. Try to find another full-time job

2. Try to find a part-time job (to hold things together) until you can find the "full-time" job.

3. Start a business

Let's take a look at each of these options more closely.

2.1. FIND ANOTHER FULL-TIME (OR PART-TIME) JOB:
At the time that this Article was written, the United States has been going through the worst job market since the Great Depression. At this time, for every single job opening that is available, there are roughly six (6) unemployed people looking for that same job.

CONCLUSION: Getting a job (even a part-time job) is going to be extremely tough.

This brings up the next option:

2.2. STARTING A BUSINESS.
For the unemployed person looking for income, one of the biggest challenges that they have to face (in starting their own business) is cost. Many businesses require inventory, start-up costs, advertising. Even many MLM-type of businesses are prohibitive for the unemployed person looking for income. Many MLM-type of businesses require that you pay a few hundred dollars to join, or they have compensation plans that require you to "get on some auto-ship program" (that will typically cost more than $100/month) before you can get paid any "override" bonuses. In most cases, the costs of these items are simply "out of reach" for many unemployed people that are living off of their bank account.

CONCLUSION: Starting a business is (often times) too costly and is typically not viable for the unemployed person looking for income.

3.0 HOW ABOUT AN ALTERNATIVE - AFFILIATE MARKETING?
In this article, I will present the unemployed person looking for income with a viable "income opportunity" approach that they might not have heard of. This particular "approach" is called "Affiliate Marketing". One of the reasons why I think that "Affiliate Marketing" is so appropriate for the unemployed person looking for income is that this type of "approach" costs them very little money, yet exposes this type of person to tremendous income opportunity. Finally, I will also provide the unemployed person looking for income with some information about a specific Affiliate Marketing opportunity that they should consider or (at least) know about.

3.1 HOW AFFILIATE MARKETING WORKS:
There are many business owners (that have a product or service) that they wish to market and sell. One of the challenges that these business owners face is the high cost of advertising (e.g., getting the word out about their products and/or services). One low-cost (and effective) way to get around the "high-cost of advertising" is "Affiliate Marketing". In "Affiliate Marketing" the Business Owner basically gets a large number of individuals (e.g., affiliates) to go out and "get the word out" about the business owners' products or services. In most cases, this advertising is done via the internet. Anytime a given "affiliate" connects the business owner with a paying customer, the "affiliate" gets paid a certain percentage of the business that was transacted.

A Win-Win for All Parties
This situation provides benefit to both the business owner and the affiliate. The business owner (essentially) gets free and wide spread advertising - performed by the affiliate). The business owner only needs to pay the affiliate whenever he/she actually brings the business owner a paying customer. The affiliate also benefits from the income that results from his/her efforts in promoting the business owner's products or services (often times) without the need for the affiliate to spend any of their money.

3.2 ADVANTAGES THAT AFFILIATE MARKETING OFFERS OVER MANY OTHER TYPES OF INCOME OPPORTUNITIES - ESPECIALLY FOR THE UNEMPLOYED PERSON LOOKING FOR INCOME:
Affiliate Marketing offers several advantages (to the affiliate) over and above that of many other types of income opportunities.

1. There's no inventory to invest in or keep track of
2. There's no dealing with "customer issues", complaints and inquiries

3. In many cases, the affiliate does not need to have detailed knowledge about the product or service being offered.
4. You can be an "affiliate" for a large number (and wide variety) of different business/products at any given time - thereby creating multiple streams of income.

5. You can do all of this at the comfort of your home or anywhere you have a computer and an internet connection.
6. In many cases, you can do your marketing efforts with ABSOLUTELY NO MONEY OUT OF YOUR POCKET.
7. In general, there is NO COST to becoming an Affiliate Marketer for most businesses.

3.3 RESIDUAL INCOME OPPORTUNITIES:
Often times, the affiliate can benefit from some residual income opportunities as well. Residual Income is defined as that income which you do not need to keep working for to obtain. (Income from a Job is certainly not residual income). If the affiliate connects a customer with a business owner that bills on a "recurring basis" (where the customer pays a monthly charge to continue to benefit from the business owner's products/services); then the affiliate can continue to get paid (monthly) for this one-time effort of connecting this customer to the business owner. In the next Section, I will discuss a specific opportunity where the unemployed person looking for income can go to earn some residual income.

4.0 AFFILIATE MARKETING WITH WEALTHY AFFILIATE, INC
If you are intrigued by what I've told you about Affiliate Marketing, and are interested in learning more about it, then the following questions should have "popped into" your head.
1. Does the unemployed person looking for income need any training to be a Successful Affiliate Marketer?

2. And if so, where does one get this training?

3. Who is an example of a Company that has an Affiliate Marketing program?
I will address each of these questions below.

Question 1: Does the unemployed person looking for income need any training to be a Successful Affiliate Marketer?

Answer: In a word "Yes". Once you've identified a business that has an Affiliate Marketing program, pretty much all they are going to do (for you) is provide you with an "Affiliate Link" and (perhaps some Banners - with your Affiliate Link, embedded in it). The rest is up to you. It will be your responsibility to find a way to drive traffic to this company's website. And if you are not good at doing that, you will earn little or no income and will not be successful at affiliate marketing. Also, you will need to be able to drive traffic to this company's website in a "cost-effective" manner so that you can still make money doing this.

Questions 2 and 3: Where can the unemployed person looking for income go to get "Internet Marketing Training" and what is an example of a company that has an Affiliate Marketing Program?

Answer: I "lumped" Questions 2 and 3 together, because the answer to these questions is the same: Wealthy Affiliate. I will go into the details of what Wealthy Affiliate has to offer the unemployed person looking for income in the next Section. However, in short, Wealthy Affiliate offers Internet Marketing Training and they have an Affiliate Marketing program (through which you can earn income).

4.1 WHAT SORT OF INTERNET MARKETING TRAINING DOES WEALTHY AFFILIATE HAVE TO OFFER THE UNEMPLOYED PERSON LOOKING FOR INCOME?
In short, Wealthy Affiliate offers its members the following.

a. Tutorials and Guides, which have been written by two highly successful Internet Marketers. These tutorials and guides have been developed based upon their experience as to what works and what does not work in Internet Marketing.

b. Internet Marketing Tools - that are designed to make the Internet Marketers job much easier. These tools include "keyword research tools", an online website builder, free website hosting, click-tracking and analytic systems. You will have access to an array of "helpers" that will make putting together an internet marketing campaign much easier.

c. Access to the Wealth Affiliate Marketing community - which is unlike any other online training facility around. Where else can you interact with, work with and learn from many other successful marketers? Further, you will also get personal coaching and support from the owners Kyle and Carson (good luck finding this elsewhere).

d. Detailed information on many of the other Affiliate Marketing programs that are offered by businesses (e.g., who they are, what's a "hot seller" and what's not, ways to find out if there's demand for a product or not, etc.)

e. Detailed information on how to do all of this marketing without spending ANY money.

4.2 WHAT ABOUT WEALTHY AFFILIATES' AFFILIATE MARKETING PROGRAM?
In addition to the myriad of affiliate programs that are offered by businesses, Wealth Affiliate offers its own Affiliate Marketing program to its members.

For each person that you bring to join Wealthy Affiliate (either as a friend or through the Internet Marketing techniques that you will learn from the training offered by Wealthy Affiliate), Wealthy Affiliate will pay you $20. Further, Wealthy Affiliate will also pay you $20 for each month that each of these people remain a member. This could lead to a substantial residual income for the unemployed person looking for income.

Think about this. By joining Wealth Affiliate, you can learn internet marketing (a valuable skill these days), you can earn money by driving customers to many different businesses (thereby creating multiple streams of income) and you can also make money by driving people to Wealthy Affiliate. Click here to learn more about Wealthy Affiliate.

4.3 HOW DOES ONE JOIN WEALTHY AFFILIATE?
You can join Wealthy Affiliate by either paying $39.00 (to join for one month) or $359.88 (to join for one year). If your funds are very tight (which is often the case for the unemployed person looking for income), then I would recommend the $39.00 option.

NOTE: Upon joining Wealthy Affiliate, you will be given a FREE eBook on Internet Marketing (a $67 value).

Why should an Unemployed Person Looking for Income pay to join Wealth Affiliate?

Good question. It is true it is free to join and become an affiliate with any business and start referring traffic to their website. However, in the case of Wealthy Affiliate, you are doing more than just becoming an Affiliate for them; you are also getting an Internet Marketing Education. Many people have (and will) spend thousands of dollars each year for a College Education that has failed to get them get a job in today's economy. For a mere $39.00 (each month) you can get yourself an education that can (potentially) free you from ever having to work for a boss again.

What do you have to lose by joining Wealthy Affiliate?
If you are unhappy with the Wealthy Affiliate program, then terminate your membership after one month. In this case, the most that you will "lose" will be the $39.00 that you paid for one month. However, in reality you would not be losing even that. Bear in mind that (upon joining) you will be given an eBook that has a value of $67. This means that (at worse) you're "up $29.00" from this deal. So, at worst, you will have paid $39.00 and (in exchange) received one months worth of "world class Internet Marketing education" and an eBook worth $67.00.

It is my hope that this article will open the eyes of that unemployed person looking for income, and perhaps give them some hope and additional ideas on how to earn some income through Affiliate Marketing. I would encourage them to do some more research on Affiliate Marketing (in general) and Wealthy Affiliate in particular. Click here for more information about Wealthy Affiliate.

Hello and Introduction

Hello,
My name is Darrell Smith and this is the very first post of this particular blog.

The main thing that I would like to accomplish (in this particular post) is to introduce myself and to state some of the topics that we will be addressing in this blog (in the future).

First of all, some information about me. In the past, I've worked as an Electrical Engineer for 22 years. Most recently, I was a Director of Applications Engineering at a Semiconductor Manufacturer (in Silicon Valley). After resigning from my job there, I started up my business with a company called Ecoquest International (where I am still a dealer).

Since then, I have expanded my efforts to include Affliate Marketing (to supplement my income that I've been getting from my Ecoquest Business).

First of all, let me state that I have only recently been involved in Affiliate Marketing. And currently (as of this posting), I am working with two different Companies.

1. The first company is Internet Marketing for Business Owners (www.IMFBO.com) which is owned and operated by a gentleman of the Jarom Adair.
2. The second company is Wealthy Affiliate

Throughout the future blog posting, I plan to cover the following items.

1. Anything noteworthy that I've learned about Affilitate Marketing or Internet Marketing (as a whole).
2. Any articles that I am writing (with the intent to drum up my business) in either IMFBO or Wealthy Affiliate.
3. Any other issues that I come across during my adventures to converting these Affiliate Marketing efforts into strong businesses.

I also plan to discuss the merits of each of these companies in the very near future.

Well, for now, I have accomplished my objective for this particular post. In my next post, I will be posting an Article that I have written up (per my Super Affiliate Training, courtesy of Wealthy Affiliate).

Until then, I wish each of you well.

An Opportunity for the Unemployed Person Looking for Income

INTRODUCTION:
The purpose of this article is to provide the Unemployed Person looking for Income with some information about an alternative (yet legal) way of earning that income. In particular, my intent (in writing this article) is to inform this type of person of the income opportunities and many of the advantages that are available through Affiliate Marketing programs.

SOME BACKGROUND:
In most case, the unemployed person looking for income will investigate the following options to replace their lost income.

1. Try to find another full-time job
2. Try to find a part-time job (to hold things together) until you can find the "full-time" job.
3. Start a business

Let's take a look at each of these options.

1. Find another full-time (or part-time) job:
Currently (at the time that this article was written) the United States has been going through the worst job market since the Great Depression. At this time, for every single job opening that is available, there are roughly six (6) unemployed people looking for that same job.

Conclusion: Getting a job (even a part-time job) is going to be extremely tough.

This brings up the next option:

2. Starting a Business.
For the unemployed person looking for income, one of the biggest challenges that they have to face (in starting their own business) is cost. Many businesses require inventory, start-up costs, advertising. Even many MLM-type of businesses are prohibitive for the unemployed person looking for income. Many MLM-type of businesses require that you pay a few hundred dollars to join, or they have compensation plans that require you to "get on some autoship program" (that will typically cost more than $100/month) before you can get paid any "override" bonuses. In most cases, the costs of these items are simply "out of reach" for many unemployed people that are living off of their bank account.

Conclusion: Starting a business is (often times) too costly and is typically not viable for the unemployed person looking for income.

HOW ABOUT AN ALTERNATIVE - AFFILIATE MARKETING?
In this article, I will present the unemployed person looking for income with a viable "income opportunity" approach that they might not have heard of. This particular "approach" is called "Affiliate Marketing". One of the reasons why I think that "Affiliate Marketing" is so appropriate for the unemployed person looking for income is that this type of "approach" costs them very little money, yet exposes this type of person to tremendous income opportunity. Finally, I will also provide the unemployed person looking for income with some information about the mind-set that they should have when they are considering the idea of becoming an Affiliate Marketer.

How Affiliate Marketing works:
There are many business owners (that have a product or service) that they wish to market and sell. One of the challenges that these business owners face is the high cost of advertising (e.g., getting the word out about their products and/or services). One low-cost (and effective)way to get around the "high-cost of advertising" is "Affiliate Marketing". In "Affiliate Marketing" the Business Owner basically gets a large number of individuals (e.g., affiliates) to go out and "get the word out" about the business owners' products or services. This advertising can be done either online (e.g., via the internet) or offline (e.g., word of mouth, printed advertising, etc.). Anytime a given "affiliate" connects the business owner with a paying customer, the "affiliate" gets paid a certain percentage of the business that was transacted.

A Win-Win for All Parties:
This situation provides benefit to both the business owner and the affiliate. The business owner (essentially) gets free and wide spread advertising (done by the affiliate). The business owner only needs to pay the affiliate whenever he/she actually brings the business owner a paying customer. The affiliate also benefits from the income that results from his/her efforts in promoting the business owner's products or services (often times) without the need for the affiliate to spend any of their money.

Advantages over many other types of Income Opportunities:
Affililate Marketing offers several advantages (to the affliiate) over and above that of many other types of income opportunities.

1. There's no inventory to invest in or keep track of

2. There's no dealing with "customer issues", complaints and inquiries

3. In many cases, the affiliate does not need to have detailed knowledge about the product or service being offered.

4. You can be an "affiliate" for a large number (and wide variety) of different business/products at any given time.

Residual Income Opportunities:
In many cases, the affiliate can benefit from some residual income opportunities as well. Residual Income is defined as that income which you do not need to keep working to obtain. (Income from a Job is certainly not residual income). If the affiliate connects a customer with a business owner that bills on a "recurring basis" (where the customer pays a monthly charge to continue to benefit from the business owner's products/services), then the affiliate can continue to get paid (monthly) for this one-time effort of connecting this customer to the business owner.

THE MINDSET FOR THE AFFILIATE MARKETER
The way that I've described Affiliate Marketing, you might believe that you've come across the "Holy Grail" of "wealth online". This is not true. To be a successful affilitate marketer, you need to be patient, persistent, you must be willing to do a lot of research and to learn some skills. I will briefly lists some of the things that the unemployed person looking for income is going to need to do, in order to become a successful affiliate marketer.

1. Do your research on your target market - If there's no demand for the product that you wish to market. You will not make any money regardless of your skills in marketing or effort.

2. Learn "Article Marketing". Article Marketing is a great way for the unemployed person looking for income to get started in affiliate marketing - because (if done well) it can bring you a great deal of internet traffic for free.

3. Be patient and persistent. You cannot control the actions of other people. All you can do is consistently present people with information about the product/service (that you are marketing) to the best of your ability. The sales will eventually come.

4. Treat this effort as a business and not a hobby. Set plans of action and goals for yourself (both daily and long term) and be diligent about executing to your plans.

It is my hope that this article will open the eyes of that unemployed person looking for income, and perhaps give them some hope and additional ideas on how to earn some income through Affiliate Marketing.
